Congratulations to Jack Silver

Jack Silver recently competed at the 2021 NZ Waterski National Championship in Wanganui.

He competed in both the Boys Division (Under 17) and Open Mens division. Within the individual Boys events, Jack won gold in tricks, silver in slalom and silver in jump.

In the coveted Boys Overall title, which measures the skiers across all 3 events (trick, slalom and Jump), Jack won gold, beating an incredibly talented group of skiers.  Most skiers specalise in one event rather than all three events.

Jack holds 2 National Titles – in Boys Tricks and Boys Overall. He also holds all Boys Wellington region water ski records in all 3 events.

In the Open Men Event, Jack finished 4th in slalom, and for the tournament he achieved the highest trick score for any skier aged under 21 – winning a third very prestigious Nationals trick trophy.

In New Zealand rankings, Jack is ranked #1 Overall for Boys.  In World rankings, Jack is ranked #4 in the World Overall for Boys.  He also has another summer in this division as he only just turned 16.  Jack has also been
selected to represent New Zealand at the 2021 Junior Waterski World Championships to be held in Florida in August (travel permitting).
