Spiritual Growth
We provide a place that encourages students to ask and seek answers to the big questions of life. The students attend 'understanding faith' classes, taught by the Chaplain and other qualified staff. The whole school is a place in which each student's spiritual growth and formation of values and beliefs are fostered and supported. |
 |
Social Development
School for young men only provides a secure environment for students to develop effective interpersonal skills. We value boys individually, turn out good citizens and older boys care for the younger ones. Visitors to the school often comment on the polite and friendly manner of our students |
 |
Leadership
Our size enables us to offer students many opportunities to practise their leadership skills. Teamwork is encouraged and assisted right from the first year. The HIBS Graduation Certificate is awarded for effective participation in leadership

Personal Responsibility
One of the most important skills a young person needs to develop is the ability to accept and exercise responsibility for his actions and the consequences. Each student is expected to keep a well-presented diary as a first step towards personal organisation. We also expect the highest standards of courtesy and presentation as essential elements of personal responsibility. |
