HIBS provides secondary schooling from years 7 - 13 (form 1 to 7). Our smaller size and friendly approach to learning gives young men a safe, secure environment in which to learn, whilst enabling us to provide each student with the challenges and opportunities they need to develop their own potential and leadership abilities.

Class sizes do not exceed 24 students. There are four classes at each level in Years 7-10.

The year of entry to HIBS is year 7. Boys are occasionally admitted at others levels if places become available. Vacancies will be advertised here on the school’s website.

In the year preceding entry to Year 7, those applicants enrolled on our database will receive an enrolment pack in April requesting that they re-apply and attach a copy of a recent school report and a special character reference.

We use the information we receive to short list applicants for interviews. Not all applicants are interviewed.

Interviews will involve both the parents and the applicant and will be held during June / July.

Each year in May, the School holds an Open Day for prospective parents and students, to which you are most welcome to attend. The Open Day for 2010 is on Saturday, 15th May.

Applications for enrolment for 2011, close on Friday 28th May 2010 . Please submit your completed enrolment form to the Principal's Office.

Letters offering places are sent to prospective students in July and August.
