Programme
Hutt International Boys’ School Visual Arts programme:-
- Years 7 to 9 study in the visual arts is compulsory. Students attend three classes a week for half a year on a rotation basis with other subjects.
- Year 10, visual arts becomes an option with the students attending three classes a week for a whole year.
This is seen as preparation for the senior levels of NCEA.
- Year 11 students study NCEA Level 1 Visual Art.
- Year 12, NCEA Level 2, the visual arts are divided into the fields of Painting, Design and Photography.
- This is continued at Year 13, NCEA Level 3
