The Year nine programme begins by looking at the Special Character component and principles on which HIBS is based, so the students discover why Understanding Faith is an integral part of the Curriculum at HIBS.

The next unit looks at the validity of the Bible and some of the history of the life and times of Jesus, before moving on to study some of the teachings of Jesus and the lives of famous men and women of faith.

This course is based on a wide variety of resources and is designed to give the students some historical and background knowledge as well as providing an overview of the life and teachings of Jesus.
